Universal Design for Learning 3.0:
Transformative Learning for All Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework that encourages flexible design of instructional materials, methods, assessments, and environments so they meet the needs of the range of learners to achieve the learning goals. In 2024, CAST updated the UDL Guidelines to reflect new learning and educational research understandings. This keynote will explore the newest version of the UDL Guidelines 3.0 and the transformative changes since the first version was released over 20 years ago. We will highlight the rationale behind these changes and explore the exciting possibilities they open for practitioners, researchers, and administrators, instilling a sense of optimism and hope for the future of education. Together, we can build a brighter future for education that embraces all students' diverse needs and aspirations. With no labels, there are no limits! |
